From military bases across the globe to the bustling kitchens of Houston, Chef MaQ's journey is seasoned with unique experiences that shape his distinctive culinary perspective. Born into a military family, he spent his early years as a "military brat," absorbing diverse food cultures and traditions as his family moved from post to post.

Following in his family's footsteps of service, Chef MaQ enlisted in the United States Army, where he honed the discipline and attention to detail that would later define his culinary career. His military service took him to various corners of the world, each destination adding new flavors and techniques to his growing passion for food.After completing his military service, Chef MaQ pursued his culinary dreams in Houston, Texas, where he attended culinary school. The vibrant food scene of Houston, with its melting pot of cultures and traditions, proved to be the perfect training ground for his evolving culinary style.
